This November, the surviving members of The Monkees are embarking on their first tour since 1997! Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork will kick off their tour in Escondido, California on November 8th and wrap up on December 2nd in New York City.

The new tour will also mark the first time Nesmith has toured with the band since a brief run in the UK in 1997. It is also of course their first tour without singer Davy Jones after his passing in February. Of the tour Nesmith said, "This seems like a good time to do this - the right time. Who knows when we will get another chance."

The band will perform their greatest hits and include deep cuts from their first five albums, music from their film Head and their TV series. They will also pay tribute to Jones through the show's multimedia content.
