MY family loves the gelatinous goo that comes out a can that masquerades as Cranberry sauce—SO each year I try to come up with a homemade cranberry dish to try to get them to understand that there should actually be BERRIES in cranberry sauce

 

Made this one last year—It’s all over the internet, but not like this. ENJOY

 

1 Bag of Cranberries

1 seedless Orange

Sugar to taste (about 3/4 a cup)

1/4teaspoon nutmeg

Pinch of ground allspice and clove

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Place Berries and orange (cut in 4ths) into food processor (do not peel the orange)

Process until you get a coarse even mixture

Add spices and sugar to taste.

 

Ser chilled  add walnuts just before serving

 

(hint—this relish can be frozen for up to 6 weeks)
