Nine-month-old kitten Flipper is finally able to walk, thanks to help from a group of Colorado high schoolers.

The adorable feline was born with a twisted spine that prevented her from standing upright. She was in danger of being put down until members of Conifer High School’s robotics club set out to find a way to get her walking on all fours.

Although it took a few tries, the group eventually built Flipper a special kitty chariot, which has made it possible for her to run around the clinic just like every other cat.

But there are hopes that one day she won’t need it at all. “It’s absolutely wonderful because it gives her a chance for a normal life, but our whole intent is that eventually she’ll be able to walk on her own,” said a doctor at the Aspen Park Vet clinic.
