NEW YORK (AP) - Guess this is why people call the fire department, not the police, to help rescue cats stuck in trees.
Officials in New York City say when a police officer tried to rescue a cat out of a tree in the borough of Queens, the officer needed to be rescued himself. The officer ended up getting caught in the tree and needed help to get back down to earth.
That ``help'' was provided by the Fire Department of New York _ who sent a bucket ladder to get both the man and cat down. As you might imagine, the New York Police Department has no comment on the story.
