Van Halen appear committed to prolonging its latest reunion with frontman David Lee Roth well into the summer of 2013.
Today, the band confirmed its intention to headline this year’s Rock USA at Ford Festival Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, taking place July 17-20.
This is the first American show Van Halen has announced for 2013. Last month they revealed that they will play Australia’s Stone Music Festival on April 20. Van Halen will headline the four-day festival’s final night.
Tickets for the event are already on sale at the festival’s website, with reduced prices in effect until March 14.

It's important to me to get you thru the arc of a day musically. Quite a few of the tunes are feel good songs, geared toward giving little "pick me ups" to keep your day bright. We'll also play the best classics ever made. And we have some of the greatest "love" or "love lost" songs ever made (depending on what you're feeling in the moment}. We'll play plenty of both every day.
Most of our rap will be "music-centric" with some topical, entertainment and human interest stuff sprinkled in. I like to keep the music rolling fluidly, so I don't talk much. But I try to get in several thoughts of interest in a very quick manner over the course of the day.
