About the Rhode Island Community Food Bank:
Since 2008, the need for food assistance in Rhode Island has almost doubled. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank now serves more than 66,000 people each month through its statewide network of emergency food pantries. One in three served is a child under the age of 18. Last year, the Food bank distributed 9.75 million pounds of food to Rhode Islanders in need.
