I was born on the planet Krypton. My father Jor-el had me flown to Earth just before our world exploded. I was found and raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent…oh…wait a minute…that’s the story of Superman. I think I’m spending too much time with T.C.
Actually I was born long ago with one goal in my life…to figure out the rules to a new game show called “Deal or No Deal.” Oh I’m sorry…that’s Kristin’s quest…I must be spending too much time with her as well.
Seriously…I was born in a log cabin in Kentucky and later moved to Illinois. No that was Abe Lincoln…I haven’t spent any time with him.
Oh yes, now I remember. I was born in a stable because there was no room at the inn. No that’s definitely not me, but He’s someone I could stand to spend some more time with.
Now I remember! I was born in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic some 30 years ago. My fans call me Big Papi! No…that’s not me either, but at least we are getting closer in body type!
Ok here’s the truth…I can’t give you my life story. For the past 3 years I’ve been in the witness protection program. We figured what better place to hide than the TC and Friends Morning Show on B101…no one will ever find me there! But now you have. The good news is I think you’re the only one. If anyone else was listening to the show they surely would’ve called to complain by now.
So do me a favor and keep this between me and you. If you do I’ll send you a free copy of T.C.’s latest book…”The Best Stories I’ve Ever Told.” The best page is page 1…actually it’s the only page.
Why am I in the witness protection program you ask? Okay lets just make believe you asked. It’s because I was witness to a hideous, gruesome crime against society…worse than the worst crime you could imagine. Yes…you guessed it! I was an eyewitness to TC delivering a Patrarca Punchline!! I cringe at the memory of it!
Okay now the real truth! I’m the author of the most boring life story in America. I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I love the state and love the place I work. That’s why I’ve been there for 22 years, and hope to remain working there at least until the end of the week. Are you still awake??
When I think of all the people I’ve worked with in my 2 decades in radio (TC and Kristin would be on that list…no actually they’d be right at the top of that list.) And I’m really going to miss them when I take over this tired old show.
