After many years at B101, I've decided that I'd like to have my weekends off, and more time to focus on other areas of my life. Thank you for your support and kind words through the years! I'm going to miss speaking with you. Many thanks to everyone at B101 and Clear Channel Providence, and everyone I've worked with for almost two decades. It's been fun!
Thank you for listening!

SCOTT MURPHY - The two most important things in my life are family & music so please allow me to tell you about these two important things. I have been married to my wife Barbara since 1994 and we have two beautiful children: James Patrick & Andrew Joseph. Watching my two children being born was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
I’ve been with B-101 in varying capacities since 1998 and truly enjoy working here. Some of my favorite acts are Billy Joel, Elton John, & Steely Dan. I also enjoy occasional Supertramp & Fleetwood Mac kicks and when I’m in the mood to rock out then you’ll find me playing Rush rather loudly. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the Dave Matthews Band is (in my humble opinion) one of the best acts to come along in quite some time.

SCOTT GIBBONS
Brief History: I grew up 20 miles west of Boston in Framingham. My radio career has been mostly in Massachusetts working at radio stations in Framingham, Springfield, Hyannis, Boston, and since August of 2007 in Providence at B-101. I also teach courses in Communications at the New England Institute of Art in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Hobbies/Activities: In the summer, I spend a lot of free time playing some real bad golf, or enjoying Rhode Island’s great beaches. I’ve also been a Red Sox season ticket holder since 1983. In the winter, I try to enjoy New England winters by heading north to do some skiing, and play a little hockey.
Other interests: Enjoy spending time in Newport, or enjoying great Italian food in Providence on Federal Hill, plus exploring other interesting sights here in Southern New England.

DAVE NEWFELL
Brief history: In the biz for over 25 years (hey, I was still a teenager when I started!) Initially in Radio full-time at Boston area stations WVBF, WKOX and WBOS. Decided to leave full time in the 90s and popped up at such stations as WBOS, WXLO, WSNE and.....B101 in 2001.
Personal: Wife, 2.5 kids (the Dog is small, but still my first kid!)
Hobbies:*Spending time with my family. Record and CD collecting
(* most of my free time is well spent here)
Brushes with greatness: Met many famous folks as a Music and Operations Manager including, but not limited to: Aerosmth, Linda Ronstadt, Gloria Estefan, Chicago, Rod Stewart, Barry Manilow, Journey, Richard Marx and the J. Geils band.
My most memorable moment was being told by Richard Marx' people that we (Radio people) could talk to Richard, but could not touch him. Why would I want to? (FYI he was a very nice guy)
MARK AMBROSE
Brief history:
I've been in the radio business for 21 years, although am just returning after a nine year hiatus. I've worked at numerous stations in Rhode Island, and southeastern Massachusetts, including WPRO-AM, JB105, 100.3 The Hawk, WGNG, WSNE, In-Sight Radio (volunteer) in Warwick, and of course, B101.
Personal:
Married, with two children, two grandchildren, two tuxedo cats, and two zebra finches.
Hobbies / Goals:
Aggravating local newspaper editorial staffs with my frequent letters to the editor, softball, 10-pin bowling, and hanging around with my wife.
I'd like to be more politically involved in Attleboro, and would probably like to run for office there, some day. Winning the lottery is also a goal.
Notes:
Perhaps New England's biggest fan of the Electric Light Orchestra. I'm also a big New York Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan, which probably doesn't do much for me, around these parts.
